What is the status of this project?
Socket.io 1.0 is fully implemented?
Do you have some examples?
Can we start to use it with websocket transport?

I'm mostly doing maintenance on it for now. It's being used in production, and fits our needs for now.
The XHRPolling transport has been implemented, however the client fallback is not implemented correctly, and won't fallback if WebSockets are not available.

I was incorrect in saying that it was socket.io version 1. I realised that it was not working with the latest socket.io server (1.0.6), this is because the protocol versioning is different. Protocol version 1 is fully implemented. It works correctly with "~0.9".

I have added an Example folder with an example project.

WebSocket transport works correctly.

The documentation is lacking in information for socket.io version 1.0, and I do not have a massive amount of time to bring this project up to version 1.0.
There also seems to be some backwards compatibility issues with socket.io 1.0 not handling the protocol version correctly.
