Describe the problem

Over the past month (I don't know exactly when it started, I don't use VOD a lot) I'm having trouble with HDR feature on some VOD platforms (through its addons): MAX and SkyOtt:

Related issue: matthuisman/slyguy.addons#935
Related issue: Paco8/plugin.video.skyott#56

I have a Fire TV 4K Max. Max And Sky apps plays fine on the device. 4K content only (with HDR disabled) plays fine on the addons with Kodi. But HDR content is glitchy / pixelated. If I disable HDR10 on addon settings then it plays fine. I don't know if the same applies to Dolby Vision because my TV doesn't have that technology.

Other VOD addons like Disney+, PrimeVideo or Movistar plays HDR10 fine.

This reminds me to a somehow similar problem I had some time ago:

#1197
Sandmann79/xbmc#676

IIRC, updating inputstream adaptative (and my Kodi from 19 to 20) fixed it, something was not well implemented with Amazon data received. So maybe the problem now is also on inputstream adaptative.

I can provide more tests or logs if you want.

My setup:

Device: Fire TV 4K Max (first gen)
Kodi: 21.1 Omega
VOD addons: all should be on latest versions
InputStream Adaptative: 21.5.7
InputStream Helper (the normal one): 0.7.0

Thanks in advance!

Possible fix

No clue.

Steps to reproduce

Just play something on a Fire TV 4K Max (first gen) Kodi 21 with Max or SkyOtt VOD addon and check if HDR10 works fine.

analyzing this problem is very difficult to me,
because i don't have 4k HDR hardware and i don't have subscriptions to your video services

anyway we have switched developments to kodi 22
so please try test Kodi 22, and let me know what happens

if, on kodi 22, there is the same problem:
there is a little possibility that the PR #1724 could fix it, but at current stage that PR is totally in WIP,
if you are lucky testing it might not crash, you can test it by downloading the test build from:
https://jenkins.kodi.tv/blue/organizations/jenkins/xbmc%2Finputstream.adaptive/detail/PR-1724/3/artifacts

I cannot switch to Kodi 22 right now, probably half of the addons I use won't be compatible. Are you no longer supporting Kodi 21??

developments for Kodi 21 are stopped, just fixes,
but im talking of fixes that can be backported from the master branch (kodi 22)
in other words, no investigations will be made directly into kodi 21 because a lot of things are changed
thats why i asked to test kodi 22

That's a shame...
