This was hairier than I anticipated. I've been contemplating moving away from comint for some time. It's worked well in principle, though agent output isn't sequential like most shells, but digress...

Should be fixed with xenodium/shell-maker@33eb46d and 30e7237. You'll need to update both agent-shell and shell-maker. Buffer should now all be read-only with prompt as the exception.
