Before getting in the in-depth "How this works" I would like to see how easy it is to implement for the use-case I have at hand. Most of people won't need all features at once, start from the simple.

In case of Symfony2 you should be able to generate something useful by adding FileLib with Composer and running some simple Symfony command after minimum viable amount of configuration / coding / annotating.

Also, because Symfony already has MediaBundle and SonataBundle, what would be the benefits.

I hope we will find more contributors to make this happen, because I believe we have a good foundation here, it just needs to be more easily discoverable and testable for the rest of the world.

One of the first things to do, would be to move this example repository under this one: https://github.com/xi-project/xi-filelib-examples/

And then concentrate on the Framework specifics later.
