[REPORT] Known issues with BETA Lineage 21

Most of the features appear to be functional except,

Rethink DNS,
Experimental settings under DNS configuration blocks all the apps from connecting to the internet.
Disabling the experimental functions fixes it however firewall would not function.
DNS works fine. (Details)

Amazon Prime Videos,
Video playbacks have black screen issue.

Discord,
All discord videos and gifs (from discord cdn) bugs with black screen.
Youtube links appear to be functioning.

Videos higher than 1080p60 have shuttering issues.

Hey ! I can't reproduce these issues (prime video is fine, discord too, I can't understand what you're referring to for DNS settings, can you screenshot please?). Also, Do you have telegram / discord? Thanks for reporting the issues, woomy

(That's maybe because I run a more recent build, so I'm just asking if you can test it to make sure the issues are fixed)

That could be the case with the beta lineage-21.0-20231217, I also had NikGapps-NXZ-notFULL-arm64-14-20240306 flashed along not sure if it could have caused those artifacts.

I am now on latest Android 13 available lineage-20.0-20231215 while it does not have the video issues, it does however have the Rethink DNS issue I had with the beta.
I have MindTheGapps-13.0.0-arm64-20231025_200931 flashed with it.

The setting responsible for firewall:

When I turn it on, it does not allow me to connect to the internet.
No matter what DNS I use.

So I have it disabled just to use RDNS without the firewall.

[RESOLVED] Rethink DNS Issue

Issue with Rethink was related to app and not BETA Lineage 21 installation.
The issue only appeared on v055a (play) and v055c (play) from PlayStore, v0.5.5c (play) has resolved this issue.

All thanks to @Woomymy for finding the v055a (fdroid) different from v055a (play).
Note: The v055a (fdroid) from F-Droid did not have this issue.

I've been having issues with apps that appear to require hardware acceleration:
Amazon Prime Video shows a black screen when playing video, audio still works. This can be worked around (at a loss of quality) by disabling Hardware Acceleration in the advanced settings of the app.

YouTube ReVanved gives me a playback error, whilst the original app sometimes works, but shows a green screen intermittently.

Disney+ says "Something went wrong" and then kicks me out of the video player.

Otherwise, love the rom. I hope you find time to continue working in it 😁
