Even with Configuration -> Menus -> Always On Top unchecked a newly created tearoff menu occasionally remains always on top. This happens maybe 1 in 20 times or so and interestingly causes all its child tearoffs to also be always on top.
btw thanks for keeping one of my favourite bits of software alive, much appreciated !
