Running yarn up myDep --mode=update-lockfile modifies the package.json.
// from"myDep": "^0"// to"myDep": "^0.0.x"
The docs doesn't state the opposite though but the term 'update-lockfile' makes me think that would be the only file that it will be modified.
Is this a bug or an expected result? if that's how is supposed maybe is worth mentioning in the below section.

update-lockfile will skip the link step altogether, and only fetch packages that
are missing from the lockfile (or that have no associated checksums).
This mode is typically used by tools like Renovate or Dependabot to keep a lockfile
up-to-date without incurring the full install cost.
