Please describe the feature you have in mind and explain what the current shortcomings are?

This is an idea for future, not current. We might validate version of GlobalPreloadJob plugin during extract environments and send a message to admin if is outdated.

How would you imagine the implementation of the feature?

That can be achieved by seting the version to env variable when extract environments is called. Deadle would have prelaunch hook that would check the version, compare it to last known version and send a message to admin when is older than expected.
