Doesn't work on Windows or Mac.. #10
Comments
The problem is, due to the regulations on CRAN (that have their virtues), it is pretty much impossible to get RvtkStatismo on CRAN ever. I hope this helps and clarifys matters a bit. |
I greatly appreciate your dedication to connecting it to R. I will give it
a try and let you know how it goes.

As I am the only programmer on this package, my resources are limited and
once it worked reasonably well on OSX and out of the Box on Linux. However,
OSX has changed and I do not own a Mac and have not the time to keep up
with the system changes.
On Windows 10, however, WSL has become a feasible way to run RvtkStatismo
and setting it up within minutes:

I hope this helps and clarifys matters a bit.

I am very grateful that you have put together this package. However, I am new to downloading packages out of CRAN and having it work in R and have been struggling in both Mac and Windows following your steps. Unfortunately, it didn't work. Based on some of the error messages, I highly think it could be due to the outdated versions of some of the other packages that follow in. I was wondering if you are planning on uploading the Statismo to R CRAN or updating the codes... I am trying to use the Boolean Operation and it seems like rvtkStatismo is the only option I have currently using an R platform. This would really help me in my research. Thank you in advance.
