How to use Guide to CLAUDE.md directory

Hi there,

I'm looking to improve my Claude usage for personal projects, a bit of practicing with learning AI as well as optimising how it works with the projects. I use Laravel as my primary framework and wanted to know how I would implement the expert .md files to work with my Claude Code?

Do I just paste them into the directory? How does Claude become aware and become/create these experts?

Maybe they can be used as sub-agents as well? I don't know how specifically I should go about using these files
