When I set the page_size_param higher than max_page_size the response returns with the value set to the param in the url instead of the max_page_size

The value of the page_size_param will not change, and will continue to be represented as-is in generated links, but the collection should only return a count of results equal to the max_page_size. Can you clarify the behavior you're seeing, please?
