Can we add a "Recent History" command in the tools line?

I know this menu and use it frequently. But I like to have an icon in the tools line for this function, like that of Notepad3.

Like that in Notepad3. You could open the recent file list with a mere click, no need to use the keyboard then shift to the mouse.

Renewed to the blue color and resized to 96x96 px. Pls see if proper.

Yeah, will try to implement a drop-down menu (similar to code folding).
