Original description

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.add mutliple categories in a hierarchy
2.create posts and associate only a leaf-level category with the post
3.go to Arras Theme Options, Home tab
4.in any region click the Stickied Posts/Categories pulldown
5.check a parent level category (should have posts with leaf-level categories associated)
6. save changes and launch site
7. no posts display in the associated region.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
category selection for inclusion in a region should behave just like selecting a parent category in a side-bar widget. All posts with that category as a parent should be included. The WordPress standard is to automatically treat all parents of an associated category as also selected. The value of this functionality for Arras is that I only need to choose a parent category for inclusion in a home page region and I can be confident that all children will be included automatically - even those I create in the future - without updating the Home settings.

What versions of WordPress and Arras Theme are you using?
WP: 3.2.1
Arras: 1.5.1.2
