Final GSoC checklist: legal and support pages, share button, security fix, full test coverage - #40
Privacy Policy and Terms of Service pages in English and Hindi
Support page listing Google Summer of Code and Stability Nexus as supporters
Social Share Button in the footer, with Hindi labels
Footer links centred, with "Made with ♥ by AOSSIE" and the AOSSIE logo
The legal and support pages use a plain background (no photo grid animation), and the navbar links back to the home page sections from them
Fixes
No more blank page on first visit: / now redirects to /en immediately
README deploy badge points at the current workflow
Security
PR labeller workflows no longer insert file names directly into the script (a fork PR could otherwise run code with the job's write token)
Security review skills and reports in security-reviews/
Code quality
All external links live in src/config/links.ts; no magic numbers
Sitemap includes the new pages
Audit
Peer review remediation report in audit/ (no findings)
Tests
197 tests covering the whole code base, 100% coverage; CI fails below 90%
Notes
Support Us Button 2.3.0 and Social Share Button 1.1.0 are installed from local-packages/ until they're published to npm; a follow-up PR will switch to npm and delete the folder.
Checks
npm run lint, npm run test:coverage, npm run build
Checked in English and Hindi, light and dark, mobile and desktop

Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Added privacy, terms, and support pages, with footer links and localized sitemap entries.
Added website sharing and support widgets, plus a privacy policy and terms of use.
Improved navigation between the homepage and its sections, and made the root page redirect to the default language.
Bug Fixes
Kept decorative backgrounds off legal and support pages.
Documentation
Updated project guidance for testing, coverage, and site configuration.
Tests
Expanded checks across pages, navigation, sharing, support, legal content, and site metadata.
- sync-pr-labels.yml: pass changed file names and the issue number to github-script through env instead of interpolating them into the script; a fork PR could add a file named with a quote and run code with the job's write token (pull_request_target)
- coderabbit-approval.yml: same env pattern for label_was_present
- skills/: add security-review and security-remediation from AOSSIE-Org/Template-Repo; .gitignore: ignore unremediated-security-reviews/

Adds Privacy Policy and Terms of Service pages, a Support page (GSoC and Stability Nexus as supporters), and the Social Share Button in the footer with Hindi labels. The footer links are centred, with 'Made with ♥ by AOSSIE' and the logo. / now redirects instantly instead of showing a blank page first. The legal and support pages drop the animated photo background, and the navbar links back to the home page sections from them. External URLs move to src/config and the clock interval gets a named constant. The sitemap lists the new pages, and the peer review remediation report is added (no findings). Support Us Button 2.3.0 and Social Share Button 1.1.0 are installed from local-packages/ until they are on npm.

Walkthrough
The changes add localized privacy, terms, and support pages; update site links, metadata, navigation, and sharing; move GitHub workflow inputs through environment variables; add security review and remediation procedures; and expand tests and coverage rules.
Changes
Localized Website Pages and Interactions
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Shared site and page configuration src/config/*, src/i18n/*, src/const/const.ts, src/app/[locale]/page.tsx, package.json, src/types/social-share-button.d.ts
Shared configuration centralizes site origins, external links, legal-page paths, and support data. Metadata and download URLs use shared configuration.
Localized legal and support pages src/lib/legal-markdown.tsx, src/components/LegalPage.tsx, src/app/[locale]/{privacy,terms,support}/page.tsx, src/app/sitemap.ts, PRIVACY.md, TERMS.md
Privacy and terms routes render Markdown documents, and the support route renders support content. The routes generate locale-specific metadata. The sitemap includes these pages for each configured locale.
Footer, sharing, and site navigation src/components/{Footer,Hero,PageBackground,MacClock,ShuffleGrid,SiteShareButton,SocialMediaCTA,SupportUs}.tsx, src/components/ui/Navbar.tsx, src/app/(root)/*, src/app/[locale]/layout.tsx, src/messages/*.json
The footer adds legal, support, and sharing links. Sharing and support components use translations and configured data. Navigation and background rendering vary by route. The root page adds an inline redirect with meta-refresh and no-JavaScript fallbacks.
Security Review and Remediation
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Workflow input handling and review records .github/workflows/*.yml, security-reviews/*, audit/PeerReviewRemediationReport.md, .gitignore
Labeling scripts read event values through environment variables. Review records document a reported workflow finding, its remediation, and a peer review outcome. The ignore rule excludes the unremediated-review directory.
The new skill defines review scope, project-specific checklists, report formats, and report storage rules.
Finding remediation and publication skills/security-remediation/SKILL.md
The new skill defines how to confirm findings, prepare remediation reports, and publish them after approval.
Test Suite and Coverage
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Test setup and coverage rules tests/setup.ts, tests/helpers/*, vitest.config.mts, AGENTS.md, CONTRIBUTING.md, BestPracticesChecklist.md, README.md
Shared mocks and rendering helpers support the tests. Vitest coverage includes TypeScript and TSX files under src/, excluding declaration files. Project documentation describes coverage thresholds and test types.
Route, SEO, legal, and footer tests tests/{pages,properties,seo,legal-markdown,links,footer,share-support,site-share-loading,page-background}.test.*
Tests cover localized page output, metadata, sitemap entries, legal Markdown parsing and links, footer links, sharing, support, and page backgrounds.
Application and component tests tests/{app-shell,download,home-sections,language-switcher,navbar,shuffle-grid,theme-provider}.test.*
Tests cover app-shell behavior, downloads, home sections, language selection, navigation, grid shuffling, and theme state.

Create the draft directory before writing.
Step 1 permits a source report outside unremediated-security-reviews/. In that case, the draft directory may not exist. Step 6 requires writing there but does not create it, so remediation can fail before publication. Add an explicit mkdir -p unremediated-security-reviews before writing.

Do not overwrite an existing remediation draft.
A second remediation run can target an existing _remediations.md file containing user confirmations or explanations. These instructions do not check for that file before writing, so the run can erase the previous draft. Check for an existing destination and ask the user how to resolve the collision.

Use Git index membership to select git mv.
git status does not report a clean tracked file. A tracked <source-report> with no working-tree changes can therefore be classified as untracked, causing plain mv instead of the required git mv. Use git ls-files --error-unmatch -- "<path>" and add Bash(git ls-files:*) to allowed-tools.

Step 8 of skills/security-review/SKILL.md writes the report and edits .gitignore without asking first. The allowed-tools frontmatter grants Write and Edit with no path restriction. A mistaken or injected instruction in reviewed content can cause writes outside the report path. Add a confirmation step before Step 8 writes, or restrict the write tools to the report path.

Use a home-navigation label off the homepage.
When isHome is false, the logo navigates to the homepage. Its aria-label remains “PictoPy, back to top” from backToTop. Give the off-home action its own translated label in both catalogs, and select the label with isHome.

… theme
The Support Us widget reads the page colours right after a theme change; during the 200ms colour fade it saw the old theme and kept it until a refresh. Transitions are now off while the theme class changes.

The privacy policy limits the local-storage claim to the theme preference and points to Data Sharing for what GitHub and other services receive. The share button stays disabled until its dialog has loaded, so early clicks are not silently dropped. The navbar logo is labelled as a home link on pages other than the homepage.
