WeatherAppIcon

The WeatherApp is a web application built using React.js. It leverages the www.weatherapi.com API to retrieve detailed weather information for a given city.

Prerequisites

Before you can run this project, make sure you have the following software installed on your machine:

  • Node.js (version v20.11.1 or higher)
  • npm (version v10.2.4 or higher) or yarn (version v4.1.1 or higher)

Installation

Follow these steps to get the project up and running on your local machine:

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/your-username/your-repository.
  2. Navigate to the project directory:

     cd your-repository
  3. Install dependencies:

    # Using npm
      npm install
    
    # Using yarn
      yarn install

Development

To start the development server, run:

# Using npm
  npm run dev

# Using yarn
  yarn dev

This will start the Vite development server and open your application in the browser at http://localhost:3000 (or another available port if 3000 is already in use).

The development server will automatically reload the page when you make changes to the source files.

Building for Production

To build the project for production, run:

# Using npm
  npm run build

# Using yarn
  yarn build

This will create an optimized production build in the dist directory.

Deployment

You can deploy the production build to a hosting service of your choice.

For example, you can use Netlify or GitHub Pages to host your React app.

  2. Create a new branch for your feature or bug fix: git checkout -b my-new-feature.
