Compatibility with CMake < 3.5 has been removed from CMake.

Update the VERSION argument min value. Or, use the min ...max syntax
to tell CMake that the project requires at least min but has been updated
to work with policies introduced by max or earlier.

Or, add -DCMAKE_POLICY_VERSION_MINIMUM=3.5 to try configuring anyway.

With my CMake version (3.16.3), everything works fine.

I am not quite sure how you propose to fix this issue. Could you make a pull request?

I didn't fix it.
This is just the error msg returned by CMake.
Doesn't work with CMake 4.1.2

I don't have this version of CMake available on any of my machines. Could you help me with this? Do you have an idea how to fix this?

From what is written I understand the CMakeLists.txt file is no longer compatible with recent CMake distributions.
