UPDATE (10/8/2026) :- The above written part makes it seem like im more mature, but i was a idiot then and am one still now. Now this branch has been changed from master-branch to archive. And Yes, I AM Rebirthing this. Initially not interested, then saw some people build some kewl shi in a hackathon and now im re-interested il say.
With age comes white hair and newer better ideas, yt-dlp is a POS for anything else other than youtube. Problem is source, for which ive found a solution. Torrents, ive personally switched to watching animes over torrents, heck there is a app (opensource) called hayase which streams torrents, ive read the source code and understood in overview how it works, so backend is gonna be that. But imma extend it. Why limit oneself to animes, Movies (Hollywood or others) and Animes and what not. Im only familiar with index sources for these two kinds of media. Problem is how im gonna have systems that can bypass govt or private firewalls to access them (tor is a good option, but a always active tor conn is not good). Problem is also with the streaming software, if i make it a website, the streaming (fetching + decoding + sending) is gonna be a tough process and would need load balancers i dont know how to write, while a local app is easier to write since its just one user. Not to mention a catalouge system that actually syncs with the media available through torrents. Ya wakaranai. I mean if i go with a local app il just be copying hayase, but atp i don car. Wawawa im losing it. Hmm no idea, if i make it a type of media server that can be locally hosted and serves content to few people, hmm how about a central list of nodes, that can share processing load over each other, Ok i need to stop brainstorming in a update log. Ok il figure out that stuff later, since that is what is to be done after all.
