News Simplified is a Chrome extension that combats the spread of misinformation, and simplifies the process of reading news.
For a more detailed introduction:
- Download the ZIP file and extract
- In the Chrome browser, go to the Extensions dropdown and click "Manage Extensions"
- Enable Developer Mode, then select the extracted file in Load Unpacked
- You would need to put your own OpenAI API key in the index.js file, replacing the existing API key in the api_key variable.
- Click the pin icon besides the extension under the Extensions dropdown, so you can use it with more ease.
