Summary
Adds a focused Windows CI gate for the portable backend-runtime fix behind #566.
The actual packaging fix is already on
main: Windows desktop builds stage a verified embedded Python runtime instead of copying the developer venv, rejectpyvenv.cfg/.pth/.egg-linkmetadata, scan for build-machine path leaks, and run a relocation/import smoke test before packaging. What was missing was continuous execution of the dedicated regression test. This PR runs:
on
windows-latestfor every normal CI invocation. That locks in the exact failure mode reported in #566 without adding installer/runtime behavior or user-facing setup.
Refs #566.
