AVA360VR Tutorial Videos
Here is a list of tutorial videos (about 5 hours in total) that you can download individually from the Assets tab below. Many of these 2D videos are simple video recordings of the viewport of a RePlay of a VolCap tutorial. As such, they are inferior representations of the immersive experience in a VolCap. The original VolCaps can be found in the full Demo Package release.
The videos are available under a Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 International license.

AVA360VR v3.0.0-alpha-12 (** EXPIRED**)
This is the second release candidate for beta-testing (AVA360VR v3.0.0-alpha-12).
Download the zip file under Assets below and unzip into a folder on a fast SSD drive (internal or external).
AVA360VR should now work fine with most VR headsets that have 6DoF controllers. It has been tested with the Vive, Vive Pro, Vive Comos, Oculus Rift S, HP Reverb, and Valve Index.
This release includes the following new features:
New universal controller models
- Our universal controllers show dynamic actions (touchpad/joystick, grip and trigger) depending on the VR headset controller you are using.
Comic Sequence Generator
The comic sequence generator allows the analyst to create, save, reload and export multiple comic panel sequences to make graphic transcripts from the 360 video + drawings and 2D video inserts.
- New panels can be added anywhere in the sequence or removed.
- Each panel is attached to a specific timecode.
- Camera snapshots are used to create the panel image.
- Captions and speech bubbles can be added, moved and manipulated.
- Text can be entered into any caption or speech bubble.
- Comic sequences are saved automatically and can be reloaded later.
- A maximum of 20 panels are allowed in a single sequence.
An example 7-panel sequence is included in this demo package release. Reload it from the comic tab on the import menu.
Transcript Viewer
The transcript viewer lets the analyst import a pre-prepared transcript with timecodes. Transcription projects made using our DOTE tool (Distributed Open Transcription Environment, in beta) can be drag-n-dropped into the project folder and imported directly.
- The transcript automatically displays the transcript text relevant for the current timecode.
- The transcript text can be enhanced and tagged with colours.
- Segments between two timecodes can be looped non-contiguously.
- Multiple transcripts can be opened at the same time.
- Transcripts can be live edited on a desktop using DOTE and refreshed in VR.
We have included an example DOTE transcript that you can import from the transcript tab on the import menu.

This zip file under Assets below contains a complete beta version of the help tutorials and the LEGO demo project.
