This page provides an overview of the OB-MAP (Open Broadband - Multi Access Point) project. The meshComms release 1 open source code may be enhanced to include an implementation of the Wi-Fi Alliance EasyMesh specification, as part of the OB-MAP project.
The Open Broadband - Multi Access Point project will:
- Identify and specify extensions to the Wi-Fi Alliance EasyMesh (R1 and R2) and Data Elements (R1 and R2) architecture and specifications. These extensions are designed to be useful to ISPs in their deployments of easyMesh technology.
- Possibly supply some open source implementations of these extensions, built on top of the prplMesh WFA MAP implementations
- Possibly enhance meshComms open source IEEE 1905.1 implementation to support WFA EasyMesh and Data Elements and the extensions defined by OB-MAP.
