Currently, this is just a migration of the backend from Flask to FastAPI, adding a few
/api/endpoints that return JSON data rather than HTML. Some endpoints mentioned in #43 will require separate pull requests, as their implementation may need additional reworking before they can be finalised. Additionally, while this branch includes deployment-related commits, those will be addressed in a dedicated pull request for better separation of concerns.
