PR Title Add env validation and frontend .env.example
Summary: Validate required environment variables at listener startup and fail fast with clear errors.
Tests: Add unit tests covering missing/malformed env values and default fallbacks.
Docs: Add .env.example
Impact: Prevents the service from starting with invalid config; improves developer onboarding.
