Black Death Chains is a community-driven encyclopedia and marketplace for black and death metal enthusiasts. Users can:

• Add and edit band details, albums, members, and links, all stored immutably on ICP.
• Mint and trade NFTs representing band relics, demos, or exclusive tracks.
• Explore a decentralized crypt of metal history, with AI-enhanced content generation and curation.
• Earn tokens for contributions, fostering a horde-driven ecosystem.

The platform leverages ICP’s scalability and AI to create a dynamic, anonymous space where metalheads shape the scene’s future.

Setup Instructions

1. Clone the Repository:

   git clone <your-repo-url>
   cd black-death-chains

2. Install Dependencies:

   npm install

3. Set Up Environment: Create a .env.local file:

   NEXT_PUBLIC_ICP_CANISTER_ID=<your-canister-id>
   NEXT_PUBLIC_API_URL=http://localhost:3000

   Ensure the ICP DFX CLI is installed: DFX Installation Guide.

4. Deploy Canisters:

   dfx start --background
   dfx deploy

5. Run the Development Server:

   npm run dev

   Open http://localhost:3000 in your browser.

6. Build for Production:

   npm run build
   npm run start

Usage

• Explore the Crypt: Visit the Encyclopedia to search for bands or browse by letter.
• Forge Content: Click "Forge Band" to add a new band. Edit existing bands if you’re the author or an admin.
• Mint NFTs: Access the NFT Vault to mint or trade band relics (feature in development).
• Join the Horde: Contribute content to earn tokens and shape the platform.

Privacy & Security

• Anonymity: User identities are protected via ICP’s cryptographic keys.
• Immutable Data: Band details and NFTs are stored on-chain, ensuring permanence.
• No Web2 Dependency: Fully decentralized, no reliance on centralized servers.
