With this release Gnome Wordsmith hooks the teleport code into PostDrawFullscreenMap, allowing us to change the mouse over text and render a teleport icon for NPCs.

However, when teleporting to players the game will favor actual wormhole potions over the Portable Wormhole. Little can be done if we want to both be able to draw to the fullscreen map and stop the game from consuming wormhole potions without additional hooks in tModLoader.

This update brings the Gnome Reforge interface in-line with other vanilla interfaces.
Bugs fixed:

  • Closing the Gnome Reforge interface takes two Esc presses.
  • Fixed double space in "Gnome Wordsmith" NPC title.
  • Adds 6 new chat lines for the Gnome Wordsmith.
  • Moved all strings over to the .lang file, to allow for future internationalization.
  • Uses Vanilla localization where applicable.

This is the initial public release of the Gnome Wordsmith NPC. Everything is functional, but there's a lot of potential for polish - especially if you want to include this character in a more thematic playthrough.

You must have tModLoader installed in order to play with the Gnome Wordsmith. The requirements for the Gnome Wordsmith to spawn are found in the mod description.
