During past years, the generalization of stationXML1.1 format (following SEED dataless retirement) as metadata exchange format of EIDA datacenters and producers has showed the need for an efficient native stationXML metadata edition toolbox. Résif gathered and generalized the needs from the french community in order to develop a good metadata edition tool wich aims at simplifying the workflows and processes of producing and editing metadata. Introducing Yet Another Station Metadata INformation Editor (Yasmine).
Starting from a first version developped by IRIS-DMC, Résif expanded the functionnalities of yasmine (former IMCT project) for a fully featured toolbox with a graphical user web interface and a command line utility.
This webinar will present the overall functionalities of Yasmine, presented by the project manager Jean-Marie Saurel followed by a discussion about the existing workflows for metadata edition in the European community.
Development of both IRIS-DMC and Résif projects has been carried out by ISTI.
The workshop will take place online, the 25 of february at 2 pm (Europe TZ).
Jean-Marie Saurel, from IPGP, is an instrumentation engineer with 15 years experience in seismic network operations and management in the French volcano observatories, at Institut de physique du globe de Paris (IPGP). He also manages the Résif metadata editor project since 2017.
The Eida Technical Commission is organizing this workshop sessions.
