I'd say "LGTM", but if this proves disastrous, I don't want my name attached to that phrase.

So: I don't see any ways this could go wrong (unless it's not intended to actually drop items with metadata when broken?)

In my defense, I'm pretty sure this override is fine considering that other blocks have it (example 1, example 2) and that middle clicking the block in creative was clearly bugged.
