Common Roles

General Roles

Contractor

Acts the same as the contractor in Frontier; goal is to just make money, join other crews, explore or anything, really.

Pilot

Acts the same as the pilot in Frontier; be the dedicated pilot. Ship collisions are a thing, so some actual skill is needed.

Lark Station

Sector Coordinator

Coordinates and pays Lark Station staff; works together with the Lodge Supervisor and Militia Coordinator. Can raise local Security guards as Militia at Lark Station, and acts as the highest authority in the Lark Region just under the Lark Relay Operator.

Militiaman

Security guard for Lark Station, and generally aims to keep everyone in the Null Sector relatively safe. Directly answers do the Sector Coordinator, but can just as easily quit.

Private Eye

Part of Lark Station’s security force, the Private Eye is not bound to guard the station nor any of the others. Their job is to support the Militiamen and Sector Coordinator.

Prisoner (may be reworked)

Served a previous sentence and is to get a fresh start. Mostly a RP-centric role instead of one that’s intended for prison breaks. Not good to pick unless there is security or command staff present.

Valet

Acts the same as the contractor in Frontier; goal is to help others, move ships about, and to introduce new folks to the station all whilst being paid by the Sector Coordinator to do it.

Expeditionary Lodge

All Lodge personnel may be removed by the Sector Coordinator should the Sector Coordinator deem them unfit for their roles. Acts of Revolt or Violence against the Sector Coordinator by Lodge Members is high treason, which is punished by banishment from the Sector. When something goes wrong, Lodge personnel contact the Sector Coordinator first, and if things get real bad, the Lark Regional Relay.

Lodge Supervisor

Coordinates and pays mercenaries; works together with Sector Coordinator. Allocates funds to Mercenaries for bounties as a way to direct mercenaries towards general efforts. They have free reign to allocate however much they desire so long as it isn’t extortionate or fraud. (Ie. Merc. Coordinators cant take 80% of station funds and allocate it to themselves for doing “such a good job”.)

Militia Coordinator

The counterpart to the Lodge Supervisor that rallies Mercenaries as impromptu Militia justice. Accompanies and protects Militia crews on expeditions to ensure their safety, but in turn does not receive payment from the Lodge. The Militia Coordinator is a high value target just like the Lodge Supervisor.

Mercenary

Does expeditions which sends payout to Lodge Supervisor; Expeditions pay about 50%, with the rest going to the Mercenary Coordinator whom can allocate the remainder however they please. Mercenaries also utilize the mercenary shipyard console at the Expeditionary Lodge

Kemak Station

Director of Care

Known as the "D.o.C.", the Director of Care is the Chief Medical Officer of Kemak Station in charge of both paying the medical staff present, and ensuring that all inhabitants of the Lark Region are safe and sound. They are under oath not to instigate hostilities under any circumstances, in return for clemencies otherwise not available to others.
