Requirement for this Workshop

Step 0: Installation of WSL

You want to switch between Fedeora and Windows or you want to work on a Linux environment while having access to windows programs, this WorkShop is for you!

If you already have it installed, you can skip it!

Step 1: Installation of the distro

Go to the Microsoft Store and search for the distro you want; For this workshop we will be using Ubuntu but you can use any distribution you want!🗿

Now You should use the Update command.

Restart your computer

If you have an ERROR you should activate the virtualisation of your windows in the windows enable

Step 2: Generate your SSH key and link it to your Github

Now that you have your linux distribution on window, if you want to use github i will have to link it, little hint, SSH key

Step 3: Install VsCode

Now that your github is linked to your distro, you will need an IDE (integrated development environment🗿).

Now install VsCode from the Microsoft Store.

Once installed, close your terminal and reopen it.

  • powerlevel10k

  • Autocompletions / Autosuggestions

Step 6: Bonus

Do you know Symlink ?

I think it is better to use the image of our friend Marvin gived by Epitech if you want to be sure your code works with the moulie
