Manzanita Research projects are places where people do good work together. This applies to GitHub issues, pull requests, discussions, and any other space where we interact.
Be kind. Be honest. Assume good intent. Make space for people who aren't like you.
- Respect. Disagreement is fine — disrespect isn't. Critique the work, not the person.
- Patience. Not everyone has the same background or context. Meet people where they are.
- Honesty. If something's broken, say so. If you don't know, say that too.
- Generosity. Share what you know. Help where you can. Leave things better than you found them.
- Harassment, insults, or personal attacks.
- Discrimination based on identity — gender, race, sexuality, disability, age, religion, or anything else.
- Publishing others' private information without consent.
- Sustained disruption of conversations or projects.
Reach out to the maintainers directly. We'll listen, we'll take it seriously, and we'll handle it privately.
