🐝 What I'm building: AmbleBee
AmbleBee is a little camera that gives you something to go do. Pick date night or adventure, and the Amblebee rolls a mission: a real place to visit, or something to try anywhere. The mission shows on its e-ink screen, and you take it with you to capture the day. When you get home, you set it on the Hive, a frame and dock that charges it and collects the photos. The Hive turns each finished mission into a memory you can look back on.
The missions are open. Every one lives in amblebee-missions as its own YAML file, grouped into state packs like Amble Oregon and Amble New York, plus Amble Anywhere for things you can do wherever you are. You can roll one right now at amblebee.com, no camera needed.
It's built to be self-hosted and private: no accounts, no trackers, and your photos stay on your own hardware. Know a great spot? Share a mission and it might end up in a pack.
