📦 Prerequisites

  • Node.js (v18.0.0 or higher)
  • npm or yarn package manager

🚀 Quick Start

🌐 Deploy to Vercel (One-click)

Deploy with Vercel

1. Clone the repository

git clone  https://github.com/Meghali54/Verdigo_Eco-friendly_Project.git
cd Verdigo_Eco-friendly_Project

2. Install dependencies

# Install root dependencies
npm install

# Install frontend dependencies
cd frontend
npm install

# Install backend dependencies
cd ../backend
npm install

3. Set up environment variables

  1. Navigate to the backend directory:

    cd backend
  2. Copy the environment template file:

    cp .env.example .env
  3. Open the newly created .env file and replace the placeholder values with your actual MongoDB URI and secret keys.

4. Start the development servers

Terminal 1 - Backend (Port 3001):

cd backend
npm run dev
# or
PORT=3001 node index.js

Terminal 2 - Frontend (Port 3000):

cd frontend
npm run dev

5. Open your browser

Navigate to http://localhost:3000 to see the application.
