Arming Checks (Backwards?)

Is it just me or are the Arming check topics backwards?

ros2 topic list | grep arming
/px4/fmu/in/arming_check_reply_v1
/px4/fmu/out/arming_check_request_v1

Shouldnt the request be going to "in" and the reply should be on "out" or am I just missing something

They are defined in dds_topics.yaml

For that matter these two topics dont really seem to do anything?
