In order to be able to publish NotallyX on the Google Play Store, I have to do a Closed Test with at least 20 People opted-in for 14 days (see App testing requirements for new personal developer accounts)

I have setup the Closed Testing for the upcoming v6.1 via a public Google Group Testers Community (this group is used by the Testers Community App for developers to help each other out), that means anyone who has joined this group (no further actions needed) can opt-in into the closed test.
It works like this:

  1. Join the Testers Community group with your Google account that you use on your Android device for the Google Play Store
  2. Install the test version of NotallyX via https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.philkes.notallyx and opt-in to the test
  3. Now as far as I understand, you dont actually have to use the App for the 14 days period all the time, as long as you dont uninstall and opt-out of the test again and use it here and there it should be fine
  4. Feel free to give feedback in the Google Play Store
  5. If after 14 days at least 20 people have been opted-in I can finish the closed test and actually publish the App on Google Play Store
  6. Of course after the closed test is done you can just leave the Google Group again and opt out of the test

So it would be great if as many people as possible could use this opportunity to a) help me get the app ready to publish and obviously b) to get further feedback on the current version.
I also enlisted NotallyX on the Testers Community app to get more testers.

FYI: I cannot see any information about you or what you do in the app if you opt into the test.

Update: Play Console shows me that there are already more than the needed 20 users, so thanks for everyone who opted-in :)
It seems that Google will evaluate the test period, not sure with what metrics or whatever, but I will publish another patch version during the next 14 days, since that seems to be important too. I think by default it is enabled that you get notified automatically if I publish a new version during a Closed Test, but I will keep you posted on that.

FYI: I released v6.1.1 in the Closed Test, so if you read this please update the app :)
If you cant find NotallyX in the Play Store directly just use this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.philkes.notallyx

Closed Testing has now been finished, just some more application forms to go for the release on Google Play.
Unfortunately I got sick, but I will keep you posted when I can get back to it

Awesome. I had no idea of this app until discovered it accidentally few days ago, so I couldn't have any idea of your way to Google Store. I'm glad you have found enough testers.
As far haven't found better replacement for Google Keep (or any other spying note apps), than NotallyX.
Thank you and wish you good health.
