Fixed ticket? Tracked in PrestaShop/PrestaShop#39630

Description

Adds a paginated sub-resource that returns the tax rules attached to a tax rules group, delegating to the existing core CQRS query GetTaxRuleList.

  • Route: GET /tax-rules-groups/{taxRulesGroupId}/tax-rules?limit=&offset=
  • CQRS: PrestaShop\PrestaShop\Core\Domain\TaxRulesGroup\TaxRule\Query\GetTaxRuleList
  • Wrapper mapping: TaxRuleList { taxRules[], totalCount } → itemsField / countField
  • Language: languageId sourced from request context ([_context][langId]), same pattern as CombinationList
  • Scope: tax_rules_group_read (mirrors product_read on /products/{id}/images)
  • Version gating: the CQRS query only exists on 9.2.0, so the operation is marked with the proper minimum version

Fields exposed match TaxRuleForList: taxRuleId, countryName, stateName, zipcode, behavior, taxName, rate, description, plus taxRulesGroupId from the URI.

Test plan

  • CI green on the PrestaEdit fork: PHPStan (9.0.3 / 9.1.5 / 9.2.x / develop), PHP-CS-Fixer, Rector, PHPUnit, license headers, integration tests on the full PHP × PS matrix (8.1/8.4/8.5 × 9.0.3/9.1.4/9.2.x/develop) — see PrestaEdit#1
  • Local: composer setup-local-tests && composer run-module-tests -- --filter TaxRulesGroupEndpointTest
  • Manual: hit /tax-rules-groups/1/tax-rules via Swagger UI, verify response shape and pagination

Walkthrough

Walkthrough

Adds the /tax-rules-groups/{taxRulesGroupId}/tax-rules API resource. It returns tax-rule fields with pagination, maps the request language to languageId, requires the tax_rules_group_read scope, and maps a missing group exception to HTTP 404. Integration tests cover response fields, pagination, and a nonexistent group. PHPStan configurations ignore the missing query-class error.

The endpoint is mergeable with owner awareness, but deterministic tax-rule fixtures would make its response and pagination tests more reliable.

Explanation

The description matches the changeset. It names the new route GET /tax-rules-groups/{taxRulesGroupId}/tax-rules, the GetTaxRuleList CQRS query, the TaxRuleList wrapper mapping, the languageId source, the tax_rules_group_read scope, and the exposed fields. It also states the version gating. The test plan lists the test command and CI status. The description is specific and on-topic, so the check passes.

Add deterministic tax-rule coverage.

The test does not guarantee that group 1 has any rules. If totalItems is 0, assertCount() passes and the foreach body does not run. The test then checks none of the returned field values. Use a known nonempty fixture and assert the expected countryName, taxRate, and zipcode values.

Use deterministic tax-rule fixtures for pagination.

Group 1 can be empty on a valid installation, so assertCount(1) would fail there. The existing fixture helpers are private to TaxRuleEndpointTest; extract or reuse them through a shared helper instead of calling them directly from this class.

Use the fixture group to request offset=0 and offset=1. Assert limit is 1, both pages contain one item, and their taxRuleId values differ. Do not require additional out-of-range or exhaustive cases.

Thanks for the endpoint. Review done with the .ai/REVIEW.md checklist of #446, against core 9.2.x, plus runtime checks on a 9.2.1 shop with this branch (experimental endpoints enabled, real calls, api:openapi:export).

Main points

  • GetTaxRuleList is not develop-only: it ships in 9.2.0 (944c0640abe, git tag --contains → 9.2.0). The operation should be gated with minVersion: 9.2.0 instead of experimentalOperation, and the description updated.
  • The data is already exposed by GET /tax-rules?filters[taxRulesGroupId]=N (minVersion 9.2.0), which also returns countryId, stateId, rate as a number, filters and ordering. Is the nested route wanted in addition to it? If so, it should at least return the same item format.
  • The two TaxRuleList classes share one OpenAPI schema, so the new route is documented with the fields of the other one.
  • Merge conflict with dev: tests/PHPStan/phpstan-9.1.4.neon was renamed to phpstan-9.1.5.neon on dev (the CI leg is now 9.1.5), and phpstan-9.0.3.neon conflicts too.

What works

  • The URI follows ADR 0023, with \d+ requirements.
  • CQRSPaginate is the right operation for a paginated CQRS query.
  • The property names match the TaxRuleForList getters, so no mapping is needed.
  • languageId comes from the context, and limit / offset reach the query.

Details inline.

Adds a paginated sub-resource returning the tax rules attached to a
tax rules group. The endpoint delegates to the existing core CQRS query
GetTaxRuleList (taxRulesGroupId + languageId + optional limit/offset).

Fields exposed match the TaxRuleForList DTO returned by the core handler:
taxRuleId, countryName, stateName, zipcode, behavior, taxName, taxRate,
description — plus the parent taxRulesGroupId injected from the URI.

Scope: tax_rules_group_read (mirrors /products/{id}/images convention).

Tracks PrestaShop/PrestaShop#39630.

The GetTaxRuleList CQRS query only exists on PrestaShop develop.
Mark the operation experimental, guard the tests with class_exists(),
and add PHPStan version ignores for 9.0.3 and 9.1.4 — same treatment
as the TaxRule Command/Exception classes already handled.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 <noreply@anthropic.com>
ApiPlatform interprets #[ApiProperty(identifier: true)] on a collection
sub-resource as the URL variable target, which shadowed the natural
{taxRulesGroupId} URI variable and produced 'Invalid identifier value
or configuration' 404s. ProductImageList / CombinationList follow the
same convention with no identifier annotation, so align on that.

Also pin requirements: ['taxRulesGroupId' => '\d+'] for consistency
with the main TaxRulesGroup resource operations.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 <noreply@anthropic.com>
testProtectedEndpoints expected a 401 but got 404 on 9.0/9.1 because
the experimental route is not registered when the CQRS class is absent.
Guard the yield with class_exists() to mirror the runtime gating.

- Gate the operation with minVersion 9.2.0 instead of experimentalOperation:
GetTaxRuleList ships in 9.2.0, not only on develop
- Rename the resource to TaxRulesGroupTaxRuleList so it gets its own OpenAPI
  schema instead of sharing TaxRule\TaxRuleList's
- Expose the rate as a DecimalNumber named rate, like GET /tax-rules
- Drop the TaxRulesGroupNotFoundException mapping the handler never raises,
and document the operation (supported parameters, empty list for an
unknown group, "--" values, behavior values)
- Test with dedicated fixtures and whole-response assertions, exact
pagination, and version helpers instead of class_exists()
