Socket Gems
This page is for how to create socket gems using the items command. If using the Pro version, an easier setup using the Item Creator GUI Can be found here
This picks up from the Attributes and Item Slots tutorials.
Socket gems are a feature which lets you bind attributes from one item on another. While referred to as "socket gems", any item can serve as a socket gem, or slot "creator".
Creating a socket gem is very similar to the instructions already followed earlier with creating an item from a template. In this case, we will be using an emerald and applying the gem template to it, by running /items template bind gem.
After doing this, simply add the attributes you want this gem to hold on it with the same instructions from the Attributes page.

With a custom name and description, our socket gem now looks like this.
Despite your gem now existing, it doesn't actually do anything. You need to mark that this is in fact an item creator. You can do this by running the /items slot creator command while holding the gem. This will turn the gem into an actual socket gem!
Keep in mind that the item must have an empty item slot in order to hold this gem, as described in the Item Slots tutorial.
