App Privacy details on the App Store

Starting December 8, 2020 you are required to provide additional information about the data collected by your app and how it is used.

This information must be provided in App Store Connect and will be displayed in the App Store for users to see. You are responsible of ensuring the details you provide are accurate and stay current should your app change the way it gathers or uses data.

The following guide will help you in answering the many questions related to app privacy on App Store Connect, depending on which SRG frameworks your app uses.

Which data we collect

We collect the following types of data:

• User ID: We use the IDFV (Identifier for Vendor) but not the IDFA. For apps supporting a login we also collect the unique identifier of the user.
• Device ID: Unique identifiers generated by the 3rd party SDKs we use.
• Product Interaction: Page views, streaming analytics and feature usage.
• Other Diagnostics Data: Playback technical reporting.

How to read this guide

Tables below provide answers for a theoretical empty app only integrating our frameworks. Each column in a table provides answers depending on what frameworks an app uses:

• If your app uses SRG Letterbox, have a look at the SRG Letterbox column.
• If your app uses SRG Analytics (but does not use SRG Letterbox), have a look at the SRG Analytics column.

Your app might also use SRG Identity, in which case you should consider the corresponding column including SRG Identity as well.

Answering the questions on App Store Connect

Use the answers below as a starting point. You still need to provide additional data types or to adjust your answers if your app collects more data on its own or uses it for other purposes (e.g. recommendation, personalization or crash reporting).

In general, though, you must declare at least all types listed in the tables below, and you are only allowed to adjust questions for which the standard answers we provide are No. If one of the ansers below is Yes just keep it as is.
