- Download the code from this github repo
- Download and install Node.js from https://nodejs.org/
- Open the code in an editor like Visual Studio Code https://code.visualstudio.com/
- In VS Code - open the
statics.js
file - Change any values to fit your server
- Rename
example.env
to.env
- Open the
.env
file - Put your discord bot token (https://discord.com/developers/applications) in there
- Open a terminal in VS Code by pressing Ctrl + Shift + ` (or simply in the menu bar on top: Terminal > New Terminal)
- Type
npm run start
and hit Enter
- Yes it is. Join the discord server (https://discord.gg/pQVSqnTdZm) to get more info about this part
- The more channels and categories you create - the smaller the cooldown can be
- Don't go nuts with the speeds, it's better to create a second bot rather then maxing out the speed on the first one
- If you plan on running the bots on your own PC, make sure you aren't even close to the rate limit (otherwise Discord might temporarily ban your IP for 0.5-2 hours)
- The best option is to either buy a cheap hosting or find a free one (use Heroku while it's free!)
