World of Final Fantasy freezes when saving the game progress

Hi.
I have noticed a strange problem with SpecialK and the above game. The game freezes when trying to save the game. No keyboard or mouse inputs are then possible. Without SpecialK, however, there are no problems. What could be the reason for this?
