The goal of this project is to make an effective and easy to use Raspberry-Pi based cash register. It includes a ticket printer, a Raspberry Pi, an Ups and a switching mode power supply to power the components trough a single power outlet.
An UPS was speciffically designed for this project. It protects the Pi from power failure, if someone disconnect the power plug by innatention, by providing about 20 minutes of power. It basically consists of a lipo, a 5v step-up, and a battery charger. I included a report about the project and a bill of the material, so making it would be easier.
