… the archive Move Slow & Bite Things had grown a full gold World Tree dead centre — the preamble's axis motif taking over a card that belongs to the turtle. The axis is now a thin plumb line of gold dust motes in a full rust sky, and the striding turtle is the whole subject. Behind Closed Eyes was mid-value mud at thumbnail size; the sleeping giant now prints as a bold dark mass on pale playa with the traveller's lantern as the single brightest point. The Zendo gains real contrast: dark tent silhouette, luminous interior, the held hands readable at a glance. The other flagged cards keep their trees on purpose: Yggdrasil IS the tree, and Above and Below / Code Becomes Canvas are tree-subjects that read distinctly. Consumer tools now prefer the committed .jpg archive over the local .png master, so every clone — with or without PNGs present — builds identical derived bytes. MakePlayingCards' closest size to the house 3.5x5.25 is their jumbo 3.5x5 (1050x1500 trim + 1/8in bleed = 1125x1575 upload). Each card is fitted by height, side edges extended outward with their own pixels to reach trim width — invisible against the kraft margins — then titled with the identical typography rules and given the full bleed. print_prep grew a __main__ guard so export_mpc can import its title compositor without triggering a full house build. … 08-07 The doc still described the original 58mm/32-col plan, which printer.py left behind in the playa-hardening commit (6620c55) — 48 columns, network transport to the Epson's ethernet port, USB fallback, preview otherwise. Regenerates the three cards flagged in review — trunk-01 (centred-tree takeover → turtle owns the frame, axis as gold dust plumb line, full rust sky), roots-04 (thumbnail mud → bold dark giant on pale playa), roots-07 (one dark value band → dark tent / luminous interior). Yggdrasil, Above and Below, and Code Becomes Canvas keep their trees deliberately — the tree is their subject.
Also flips the art-loading preference in the four consumer tools to the committed q95 JPEG archive, so derived assets (contact sheet, booklet, proof, web images) build byte-identically on every clone regardless of whether local PNG masters are present.
