Describe the issue

image

As seen in the image there is no other string left with the same translation but it's still counted as a fail.

I already tried

  • I've read and searched the documentation.
  • I've searched for similar filed issues in this repository.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. Go to a string that needs translation
  2. Translate the string
  3. Press save -> The string fails with "Reused translation"
  4. See that the old translation (not the one wou just translated but the one your translation was matched with) is actualy wrong and
  5. Change the translation for the other string
  6. Save it
  7. The new translation still has the failing check but nothing apears on "Other source strings:" where the string with the same translation used to appear

Expected behavior

The new string with the translation should not fail

It should update in the background, did the check disappear meanwhile?

PS: Can you please share a link to the problematic string?

Sorry for the late reply. It seem like it was update in the background, but I can not confirm when. The only thing I can say is that it took more than 2 hours, as that was the time-frame before I posted the bug and the error was not cleared in spite of no other strings appearing as shown on the screenshot.

If I remember correctly the strings were:
https://hosted.weblate.org/translate/mihon/mihon/ro/?checksum=a6492665e3164499
https://hosted.weblate.org/translate/mihon/mihon/ro/?checksum=3a6910eb28b42a3f

The first string "Security and privacy" was translated as "Securitate" which misses the second part. When I translated the second string "Security" to "Securitate" the translation fail for reused translation popped up, so I've gone back to the older string, corrected it. The failed check was still there even a couple of hours latter despite the link under it that indicates the other conflicting string no longer appearing.

Hope this helps, and I hope I was not too hasty in reporting the bug and wasting your time. I expected the failed check to be cleared as the link that should appear in the screenshot was no longer there.
