# A study guide: Dylan Miner | ||
|
||
**Dylan AT Miner, PhD** (b. 1976) is an artist, activist, scholar, prolific writer, and transformational leader. Starting | ||
in Fall 2023, Miner began a new position as Professor and Senior Associate Dean of Research, Creative Practice, and | ||
Graduate Education in the Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan. He is formerly Dean and | ||
Professor in the [Residential College in the Arts and Humanities (RCAH)](https://rcah.msu.edu/) at Michigan State | ||
University. He is a founding member of the artist collective [Justseeds](https://justseeds.org/). As an artist, he has | ||
hung nearly 30 solo art exhibitions, as well as participated in more than 115 group exhibitions. He has created graphics | ||
for numerous community organizations, social justice campaigns, and environmental organizations. Miner has published | ||
extensively, including chapters published in books by Duke University Press, Yale University Press, and Oxford | ||
University Press, among many others. His book | ||

(2014) was published by the University of Arizona Press. Born and raised in Michigan, Miner is a registered citizen of | ||
