To upload new images, put them into static/jpg/nighttime and static/jpg/daytime, and then run image_converter.py to get webps in the correct folders.
then run image_sorter.py to get an images.js file (this doesn't overwrite the first one). then just swap the two out, make sure it works well.
if its a google document, export it as an HTML file to get all the images. then it's just a matter of using the appropriate tags.
Roughly, to make a new page, just do an html file and go:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<title>[orchard]</title>
<link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="./static/icon.avif">
<link rel="preconnect" href="https://fonts.googleapis.com">
<link rel="preconnect" href="https://fonts.gstatic.com" crossorigin>
<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Agu+Display&family=Dokdo&family=Rubik:ital,wght@0,300..900;1,300..900&display=swap" rel="stylesheet">
<link href='https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Cormorant Garamond' rel='stylesheet'>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="./styles.css">
</head>
<body>
<header>
<img src="./static/banner_no_bg.png" id="banner" style="margin-bottom: 20px;" />
<nav>
(<a href="https://orchard.day">home</a>)
(<a href="./about.html">about</a>)
(<a href="./photos.html">photos</a>)
(<a href="./logs.html">logs</a>)
</nav>
</header>
<article>
</article>
</body>
</html>Just make sure to change the title, and the rest is normal html stuff. Just look at other images/things to learn how to use HTML/CSS styling.
There's a ton of free markdown to html converters (you can code one yourself in a hot second), so not really fussed about that right now.
