When variable preparation requires external data such as disease codelists or nutrient data it can be tedious to have to copy and paste information into if-clauses on by one. This code will allow you to use data from excel and txt files (just adapt the import function accordingly) to write a do-file for you with less repetition and chance of copy-paste error.
