We're having this too. It's a showstopper. We can't build the project for our customer anymore.

I have the same problem. When will it be solved?

Oh, yeah, that worked for me. I'm going to build.gradle in the path “AppData\Local\Pub\Cache\hosted\pub.dev\usb_serial-0.5.2\android”

type = 'aar'

I added it. it worked.

I forked and implemented the temp fix mentioned in the felHR85 repo (the one @xwork1 mentioned above). So if you want an easy quick fix you can use my repo while waiting for this to be resolved.

Just change the usb_serial dependency in pubspec.yaml to:

    git:
      url: https://github.com/jymden/usbserial.git
      ref: master
