Pedestrian-Friendly Printable Roads

Thumbnails of the printable roads

When my daughter built a cardboard city, I looked for some roads to go with it. Everything I found was very car-centric - where were all the pedestrian crossings, cycle lanes and pavements? I decided to make a few of my own.

If I had more time, or anyone wanted to help, I'd add:

  • Some street segments that are, you know, not just straight.
  • More street features: dedicated transit lanes, parklets, benches, more trees, a fully pedestrianised street.
  • More styles: it'd be fun to choose between different countries - trees with cherry blossom from Japan, a living street from the Netherlands, and the like.
  • Signage that could be glued onto wooden sticks.
  • Better visual design: everything looks a little flat right now.
