Welcome to the Odiin wiki!
This wiki intends to be a living document that will touch on how to make use of Odiin, as well as other information about the project.
The information here at the moment is a bit light, as the project is still in its infancy. Please suggest improvements or request content by opening an issue.
Attach Odiin to your PC. Odiin should automatically power on, and show up on your PC as a mass storage device, similar to a USB Flash drive. You can drag and drop binary NFC tag dumps to Odiin to copy them to the SD Card. At the current moment, Odiin is hardcoded to load 540-byte NTAG215 payloads, but this limitation will be addressed in a future version of firmware. Odiin ships with a test payload on it.
Once you have the payloads you wish to use, detach Odiin from your PC. Using the navigation stick, press up or down to navigate menu items, and press in on the navigation stick to “select” the menu item.
Currently the red buttons are unused but may be used in the future.
Navigate to “Load Payload”, then press to select, repeating the process for your payload you would like to use. Once you select your payload, the LED will turn blue, indicating Odiin’s NFC tag is active.
While Odiin’s NFC tag is active, you just need to hold the bottom of Odiin (underneath the button area) to the NFC reader you’re attempting to communicate, and Odiin will transmit the data as it’s requested!
If you have feedback on this quick start guide, or Odiin itself, please open an issue!
