The default value is now set by the option. If not supplied, it will be the empty string. This retains the previously consistent behaviour.

Thanks for the PR! This feature would be great. I believe this can be helpful in cases where you need to read ssm parameter values with the same name for different environments. |

This adds the ability to set a "default" prefix globally. The prefix can still be overridden on an individual parameter.
