ZeroconfBrowser

David Steele edited this page Apr 13, 2021 · 7 revisions

If you are running on a Macintosh, or most Linux systems, you can access the target device using the ZeroConf addresses raspberrypi.local or comitup-<nnnn>.local (e.g. http://raspberrypi.local). If you are running Windows this may not work, since it doesn't support ZeroConf by default. If you are unable to get ZeroConf working on your host, you can install a ZeroConf Browser to find out the IP address of the target device.

On Windows, the Bonjour Browser will provide this capability.

For Linux, use the avahi-discover application in the avahi-discover package.

Android users can use the Service Browser.

Using the browser, find the IP address associated with the Comitup Service.
